The BC HealthGuide Program provides reliable health information and advice that you can trust. This self-care program is available 24 hours every day to help you and your family make better health decisions. These medically-approved resources can be used to help you stay healthy and work with your doctor and other health professionals to manage your health concerns.

BC HealthGuide Handbook - Read the BC HealthGuide handbook for information on how to recognize and cope with common health concerns. Learn about how to prevent illness, home treatment and care options, and when you should see a health professional. You can find topics relevant to older adults throughout the handbook. Get your free BC HealthGuide handbook in English, French, Chinese or Punjabi. For more information, click here.

BC HealthGuide OnLine - Click on this website at www.bchealthguide.org for current, medically approved information on 3,500 health topics, tests, procedures and resources.

BC HealthFiles - These fact sheets provide BC specific information on public health and safety topics. Click on BC HealthGuide OnLine or visit your local public health unit. Some BC HealthFiles are available in French, Chinese, Punjabi and other languages.

A comprehensive evaluation of the BC HealthGuide Program was conducted by the Quality Improvement in Literacy, TeleCare and Self Help (QUILTS) Collaborative. See the summary report and the final report.
